Earlier this year, the major telephone companies banded together to make significant changes to how candidates and issue advocacy groups text voters.
The good news is that there is now an “Express Lane” that allows for faster delivery, longer message content, and larger MMS attachment sizes.
The bad news is: campaigns must register (reassuring Sprint, AT&T, and others they are not Russian bots) and that the campaign verification process will take more time late in the cycle.
As of Monday, October 24th, text messaging platforms have informed us that the registration process will almost certainly take longer.
If you think your campaign might be reaching out to voters by cell phone during the last ten days of the cycle, it pays to register your campaign now.
Simply give us a call, and we will handle all of the paperwork for you. The “texting police” charge a $100 fee to use the “Fast Lane,” but we charge nothing for processing your registration.
